Hello family & friends! Happy New Year! It's hard to believe that I have been on my mission for 4 months and that it is already 2012. It's going to be a great year though :). To catch up on how things are doing...we haven't been able to meet with Iwona, Juana, or Dorota & her family because of the holidays, but we are hoping that this coming week...good things will happen with them. In Poland, since a lot of transportation is by bus, Iwona wasn't able to come to church because of the bus schedule, but she is committed to this Sunday :). We are going to be working with more of the ward members this week to seek for referrals...as well as continue to contact and tract. We were able to give out a couple Book of Mormons last week though to some really awesome people!
For New Years eve they had alot of fire works go off right across from the apartment, since we live in the center of the city...so it was funny to wake up and to see a bunch of fire works right outside our window haha. But being the New Year...we have a goal as a mission to read the Book of Mormon again by April...so I encourage you to do also! Every time I read it I find more inspiring things and personal revelation that sticks out to me personally. I know that if we read it every day that we can receive more guidance and direction in our lives, and feel comfort and peace :). I promise!
Last week on Thursday I unfortunately got sick with a soar throat and fever...but I am better now :) and am ready to get back to work! I love being here in Poland, and have seen little miracles happen each day. I know that Heavenly Father is aware of each and every one of us...and is in the little details of our lives. He loves us so much, and wants to help us. I know that if we put our faith and trust in him, that things will work out...and everything will be alright in the end. Having an eternal perspective in this life is what helps me focus on what truly matters, and helps me become the kind of person that I want to be...and be a representative of Jesus Christ as I serve the Wonderful people of Poland!! Stay strong and positive! LOVE YOU ALL! :)
