Dzien Dobry!!! I can't believe it is almost February! Time is flying! But this week was a great week :)! We met with lots of members to talk about the ward mission plan, and contacted some awesome people, as well as visited some less actives. It was great! We met with our members: Helena (she is a gypsy and is in her 50's. She is so awesome!), Basia (who is a less-active) again and shared a little message out of the ensign with her, Gosia (who is about 32 - and is about an hour away from Katowice - and is a very strong member!), Dominika (who was baptized before I got in the country, she is about 19, works a ton) - but we shared the talk "Forget Me Not" which me and Sister Marshall LOVE, and then while we were in Gliwica visiting Gosia we stopped of at Panu Josef's house who hasn't been at church for a while because of health problems, but he is a character and is hilarious! On Saturday we met with Bozena who is in her 70's, and learned how to make Bigos...which is sourkraut, sausage, tomato sauce, onions, and some other stuff mixed in...and I actually really like it! haha. It's interesting how being in a different country your tastebuds kind of change lol. But we ate lots and lots of soups with the different members this week which was nice since the weather is colder. :).
When we were contacting on Thursday for a couple of hours we ran into such awesome people! We met a girl named Agnieszka who had met the missionaries on the street before, but lost a brochure...we gave her a Book of Mormon and she said that she would come to church this week! :). We met a lady named Marta who was very interested in reading the Book of Mormon and said that she would call if she had any questions, and then we met a girl named Dora who is not from Poland - I think probably France or somewhere...because she speaks a little English but her first language is French, but we got her number and are going to meet with her this week!
The lesson with Dorota, Agnieszka, and Pawel went really well...and they committed to read the Book of Mormon again...Agnieszka the daughter is the most interested, and said that she would be in church this week! :).
Also....haha (this week was so awesome!) we were contacting this lady in the evening...(bitter cold outside haha) and this man came up to us and said that he had met elders two years ago on this same street and that he had lost the brochure that they had given him...and that he had promised he would read...and wanted another one...and he has read the Book of Mormon before because he borrowed it from a friend...so we gave him his own copy...and he was so excited to read and study it! It was a miracle :).
I love missionary work, and POLAND! I am so grateful for this time in my life that I have to be a representative of Jesus Christ and to share my testimony with people here. I know that through sincere prayer and scripture study that we can recieve direction in our lives, and be comforted. I know that Heavenly Father knows what's best for us...and that if we continually do what is right, and show our faith through praying daily, reading our scriptures daily, going to church, serving others, and trying our best that we will feel more direction and purpose in our lives. I promise you! It really is the basic little decisions that determine our course and make the big difference in the end. I love each and everyone of you, and pray for you everyday! I know that Heavenly Father is aware of you and is willing to do whatever he can to help you if you reach out to him :).
"God loves you because you are His child. He loves you beven though at times you may feel lonely or make mistake. The love of God and the power of the restored gospel are redemptive and saving. If you will only allow his divine love into your life, it can dress any wound, heal any hurt, and soften any sorrow." President Dieter F. Uchtdorf "Forget Me Not" talk
Have a fantastic week!!! Go the extra mile to do the things that will make the big difference in your life! :)
Love always, Siostra 4c!
