Czesc!! Hope you all had a great week this week! It FINALLY snowed here haha...and it's snowing a lot! But were bundling up, drinking lots of hot chocolate, and staying warm :). Transfers were this week for some of the missionaries...but since I'm still being trained I will still be with Sister Marshall for this next transfer which will be awesome because she is great! We have a blast together and have had a lot of laughs :).
This week we were able to meet with Iwona...and we went to her house for the first time...because she lives about an hour away by bus...so we left right after study at about eleven...and then got to her house about one. We taught her about the Holy Ghost more, and how the Holy Ghost speaks to us each individually in different ways. It was a good lesson and we shared some quotes by President Hinckley that we both liked, so we are praying that she will be able to more fully recognize the spirit in her life. She is awesome. We also found out that she has a dog named Jessica Daisy haha :) It made me laugh :).
After we visited Iwona, we went and visited a less active family who lives about ten minutes away from her and had a good lesson with them. They are such an awesome family, and we were able to give them some ensigns to read! Ella (the mom) loved the last conference ensign and was excited for more! I agree with her though...the last general conference had some amazing talks in it! :)
We also met a man while contacting downtown who was on his way to work...and were able to give him a Book of Mormon. He was excited to read it, and found the promise that it contains beautiful. It was a great experience, and I know that Heavenly Father places people in our paths every day that are searching for something more.
Being in Poland has made me appreciate the basics and fundamentals of this gospel. That we have a father in heaven who knows us and knows whats best for us. That Jesus Christ is our Savior...and that he atoned for our sins and died for us. That through prayer we can talk to our Heavenly Father and recieve direct revelation from him. What an amazing blessing! I am so grateful for the power of prayer, and for the strength and peace, and direction that comes from it.
I love what President Thomas S. Monson says, "I bear my testimony to you that this work is true, that our Savior lives, and that He guides and directs His Church here upon the earth. I leave you my witness and my testimony that God our Eternal Father lives and loves us. He is indeed our Father, and He is personal and real. May we realilze and understand how close to us He is willing to come, how far He is willing to go to help us, how much He loves us, and how much He does and is willing to do for us".
I know that the closer we draw to Heavenly Father and our Savior, Jesus Christ, the closer that they will draw to us. :).
I hope you all have a fantastic week...and take the time to kneel down in sincere prayer...and pour out your hearts to Heavenly Father. I promise that if you do this, that you will see a difference in your life and feel of his love more abundantly.
Thankyou for all of your love and support!! I love you all and pray for you everyday!!
Love always, Siostra 4c :)
