Dzien Dobry!! Less than two weeks now!! I can't believe how fast time has gone, since the first day we have been here. The MTC has been awesome though and I have learned so much, and have really enjoyed this experience! It is amazing! :) Last Tuesday we were able to hear from Elder Richard G. Scott, and he was an incredible speaker. His love for us, and for his savior was so strong, and he truly testified of the love that Jesus Christ has for each of us. I quote, "I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that he guides this church himself. I know he will work before you. He will open doors before you. He will guide you. He loves you. If you have a problem - be patient. Let him give you piece of mind and direction. I know him and his son and I bear record and testify with every cell and capacity that I have that he lives." He also talked about carrying around a journal wherever we go, so that we can write down spiritual impressions that we have. He said that this will be one of the greatest treasure that we have in this life, and that if we are willing to take the time to write down the spiritual promptings we recieve, the Lord will give us more.
The rest of this week we have been trying to cram in as much Polish as we can....since we are getting down to the last 2 weeks....and we set a goal to have a set of vocabulary and cases memorized by this Friday - and if we do we are going to have a party :). haha. So we are looking forward to that! This week I feel like I have been able to express myself more easily in Polish and to memorize more words - as well as listen better :) so things are moving along. It's interesting to see the progress we have made since the first day here....and by the end of our missions how much we will know. But the gift of tongues works!!
This week I was made coordinating sister over the district, which means I have to help the new sisters that are coming here this week move in and make sure that everything is okay. It will be wierd leaving before this new district, because we have seen so many people come and go, and this time it will be us leaving! crazy.
It definately feels like fall outside, and the leaves on the trees are beautiful. We were able to go to the temple today, which is always something to look forward to :).
On Sunday, Sandra Rogers spoke to us and she really stressed the importance of being happy now in our lives. she said "If your constantly waiting for a certain circumstance you will forget to recieve the joy now."
I will be getting my travel plans on Friday, so I will let you all know what time I leave for the airport on that Monday!!
I'm grateful to be a missionary and to serve the Lord. It is such an amazing experience and I have felt the spirit so strong here, and know too that Jesus Christ lives, and that he is here to lead and guide us :). Stay strong and positive!! I pray for you all! :)
Alma 26:27 "Now when our hearts were depressed, and we were about to turn back, behold, the Lord comforted us, and said: Go amongst thy brethren, the Lamanites, and bear with patience thine afflictions, and I will give unto you success".

MTC--Week 6
Czesc family and friends! I hope all of you are doing well :). I can't believe today is already October 18th! It has been a great week. I'll start off where I left, on Tuesday night Julie B. Beck spoke to us of the importance of temples - by being able to make sacred covenants, and also where we seal families together, not just for time, but for all eternity. Temples are the house of the Lord and as engraved upon them, as it says in Exodus 28:36 "And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, holiness to the Lord". It has been a great blessing to be able to go to the temple each week since being here, and to be able to feel of the peace that comes from them :).
This past week our Polish has been improving, as we have been trying to practice more speaking it with each other, which has really helped. I'm trying to focus on more of the grammar side of it this week so that i will be able to sound better when speaking it lol, instead of just throwing out random words :). We have had some pretty funny language moments. I told someone that it was"'important to keep the haircuts of God". Instead of 'commandments' haha. Yesterday Sister Sheahan said "When I was a bottle of honey", instead of "when i was young". It's pretty hilarious lol. Good times!
On sunday, sister Erlyn Madsen spoke to us. And when talking she quoted one of the general authorities when saying "memorizing scriptures is like filling a file cabinet of friends that can be called upon at any time and place". I love that, because scriptures truly are the words of God, and can bring us great happiness, comfort, and peace in this life - and through memorization we can be strengthened by their power.
This week has been warmer which is nice, because we have been able to run outside again! :) I should be getting my travel plans next week - which will be fun to see where our connecting flights are! The Bulgarians go their visas on Friday, which was truly a miracle, and left yesterday morning, so we were way excited for them!
Being a missionary is such an amazing and wonderful blessing! I love every second of it. It's worth waking up at six every day, and studying hours on end, because of the knowledge and power of our savior Jesus Christ. I cannot wait to share the most important message in the world to the people in Poland. That we have a heavenly father who loves us - and a savior who atoned and died for each of us. And that we can repent and be forgiven of our sins and recieve comfort through our adversities. That we can be sealed to our families for eternity, through the priesthood that is on the earth today - the same priesthood that Christ had- and that we have a living prophet who recieves direct revelation from God. The power of the scripures - the Book of Mormon and Bible that testify of our savior, Jesus Christ, who leads and guides us today. I wish you all a great week, and leave you with a few scriptures :)
1 Peter 1:7 "That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ".

MTC--Week 5
Hello again!! It is now week 5 here at the MTC and it has been a pretty good week to say the least! :) We are continuing to study polish as we are about to head out in less then 4 weeks! It's crazy that we have been here over a month - and to think of the great things that are awaiting us - but as each day passes I am getting more and more excited to go to Poland - and to teach and serve the people that are there :). I came across this scripture that talks about missionary work, but relates to life in general, and found a lot of comfort in it! It's in D&C 84:88 It says "And whoso receiveth you, there I will be also, for I will go before your face. I will be on your right hand and on your left, and my Spirit shall be in your hearts, and mine angels round about you, to bear you up." I love it! I know that if we put our trust and faith in heavenly father that he will provide a way fo us to keep going and that we will have angels bearing us up always :).
On Sunday, Jean stevens - who is the first counselor in the primary - talked to us, and she had a lot of great words to share! She talked of this great message of Jesus Christ and how it matters to EVERYONE. Because every soul matter to heavenly father. By loving as the savior did - there is no greater joy then watching others come to know their savior. It reminds me of the saying "Be kind. For everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." We are all in this life together, and by helping each other, and serving each other, we can feel of the love of Christ more abundantly in our lives. As they say, God often works through others to meet our needs :).
We are continuing to teach 2 lessons a day - and i can understand more of what is being said, whcih is a good sign haha. it has gotten a lot colder outside, so we have been staying inside for gym this week and just running around the track...but I hope we have more warmer weather :). This afternoon we were able to go to the temple, like we do each week, so it was something to look forward to :).
The Bulgarians in our district weren't able to leave today for Bulgaria because their visas still haven't come yet, so they might get reassigned for the time being if they aren't here by Friday, but we are praying that they will be able to leave next week! But I love all of you guys, and pray for all of you! I love this gospel of Jesus Christ, and have gained a strong testimony of his atonement, and the love that he individually has for each and everyone of us. He can make our burdens light if we let him and sincerely pray to him!
Mosiah 24:14-15
"And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions. And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his bretheren were made light; yea, the Lord did strenghten them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord."
Have a fantastic week!!!!! Love always, Siostra 4c :)

MTC--Week 4
Czesc family and friends! I hope all of you have had a great week so far! :) I am now almost half way done here at the MTC, and will be in Poland in a month and three days counting! I'm so excited! This week, like all weeks lol, alot has happened. As far as our classes and Polish, we have been busy trying to learn as much as possible! I'm not sure if I already told you, but we have three different teachers: Brother Broadbent, Daly, and Rushtein - who all returned from serving in the Poland Warsaw mission within the last three years. Brother Broadbent actually got to do an internship there this past summer, working for a company. They are all awesome, and are great at teaching us this language. The Polish language is like a huge puzzle, and once you start to put it together piece by piece it all starts to fall into place...so so were trying our best to get more pieces added on :). It is hard and difficult, but I know that if we continue to be patient, heavenly father will keep blessing us to be able to learn it!
This past weekend was great, with general conference, and being able to hear from the prophet Thomas S. Monson and all of the other inspired general authorities. I really like what Thomas S. Monson said about society now days, and it made me think that we really need to live what we believe, and to stand as witnesses of Jesus Christ at all times, in all things, and in all places. He states, "Although the world has changed, the laws of God have not, and will not change". As we learn in the scriptures, God is the same yesterday, today, and forever - he is unchangeable. It is hard to live in a world with changing values, but with our values centered on Christ - we will be able to withstand the adversary. As it says in Helamen 5:12 "And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall." I love that scripture!
Another talk that I really loved was given to the sisters in the church by Elder Uchtdorf - which was inspired by the flower: Forget-me-nots. He states, "No matter how dark your days may seem, no matter how insignificant you may feel, no matter how overshadowed you think you may be, your Heavenly Father has not forgotten you. In fact, He loves you, with an infinite love." One of the points he talked about was to be HAPPY NOW and he related it to the story Willy Wonka, and how we are all in search of our golden ticket in life...but forget to enjoy the actual chocolate of what we have been given. He says "If we spend our days waiting for fabulous roses, we could miss the beauty and wonder of the tiny forget-me-nots that are all around us." Great words to live by! :)
But overall, things are going well! It's crazy that I have been here a month, but I have learned so much, and have enjoyed all of it. It is such an incredible experience, and I know that what I have and will learn will bless my life significantly! I hope all of you have a fantastic week! Until next time....czesc!!! :)
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth int he truth; beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."
